My tub/shower has odd orangey streaks. And discolorations where the previous tenants (how previous I don't know) had those flower don't slip and break a hip dealies. Sadly my scrubbing bubbles are no match. I came across your diary yesterday and I love it. I will visit frequently and probably sprinkle your guestbook with random Heidi thoughts and reactions. Don't let them scare you, I'm odd but quite harmless.

I have a bad habit of buying "as seen on TV" products. I can tell you from experience that Oxiclean works (Nads does not). Tilex might help, too. I also have one of those steam cleaners (Shark Steamblaster) which works, too.

I (fishetarian): agree about lobster-microwaving and the someday-to-be-regarded-as-barbaric early 21st century; am glad to know the BK veggie wasn't so bad (although I also heard it costs more than the meaty meatburgers there, so what the fuck?); can very confidently say that the people trying to draw blood that first time were SO WACK and would've caused me seizures (not kidding), so yes, they were incompetent. Is that why I'm always hungry? I thought it was a peculiarity unique to me -- I didn't realize that it might have to do with my vegetarianism (I'm not vegan, but I do try to avoid dairy and eggs most of the time). Interesting.

sigh. your apartment woes remind me of when I was looking for an apt. in NYC and ended up w/ a studio that cost twice as much as the one i'd had in California - and was about half the size. Of course, I had to share it with gigantor cockroaches that terrified the hell out of my poor cat....Despite all that I was just happy to have found a place that i didn't have to sell my future first-born child to get into...
